Prunus besseyi ‘Sunset Ridge’

When the parent plant turned a dusty orange-red this year, I was worried that my cuttings would turn the same color. I was pleased to see that they have turned the bright red that I remembered. The leaves have slowly changed color over the past few weeks, and seem to be holding the leaves and color well. This makes for a longer show than most trees and shrubs with colorful fall leaves. It’s just what I was hoping for.
