In two days the lawn was taken out and a flagstone path was placed with new drip irrigation and new planting beds (yes, that's frost on the planting beds). I'm not sure if it looks nice or if I hate it. Sigh! I'll just have to think about all the new plants that I can put in.
Wow, finally ridding what has held that space back! The axis looks good and is a good start to so much more.
ReplyDeleteWhile flagstone takes away some of the modern from your house and garden space, the axis helps. Can 2-3 flagstone areas be periodically shifted or added right and left of this axis, to add some random but purposed horizontal and "slab" look there? That way the plantings can respond, especially if you have some plant bones to unify all you're bound to do.
