Is the mystery aster a volunteer, or from planting? I looked in your earlier post but no idea. A bushy purple aster just appeared in the mailbox island by my house, with thread-like leaves...I need to ID it. Definitely not the M. biglovii I recall here and there in the old hood.
The mystery aster is one I purchased as 'professor kippenburg', but clearly wasn't since it wasn't the same color. I actually liked the color more, so I bought it. It is almost certainly a "novie-belgi." My guess is that it is a seedling from the professor.
